FERMENTATION TANKS

Problem

Breweries rely on our spray solutions when facing difficulties in cleaning fermentation tanks. Static spray balls cannot reach all areas, especially where residues have dried, resulting in inadequate cleaning. This leads to high water and chemical costs, as well as long downtimes that delay production. Additionally, increasingly complex hygiene requirements must be met, for example, in the production of non-alcoholic beer.

Solution Bete

BETE offers solutions using suitable rotary nozzles such as the HydroWhirl® Stinger (HWS2), which ensure effective cleaning with minimal media consumption. In one case study, a medium-sized brewery replaced its old spray balls with BETE HydroWhirl® Stinger (HWS2) rotary nozzles. These nozzles produce 360° rotating spray jets that cover the entire tank, including critical areas. CIP cycles were optimized, reducing water consumption by 30–40%. The hygienic design in 316L stainless steel is FDA compliant and fully CIP capable. The result was complete cleaning in one automated pass, without rework, leading to faster tank availability and improved cleaning results. By using rotary nozzles, breweries were able to significantly enhance their cleaning processes—both hygienically and economically.
